Photos 25-29 January

Used focus to flatten background.

A stove is flat. I wanted to see if the black felt farther away, and it almost does.

I like all the dividing lines on both the staircase and wall.

Flat in the sense she's a silhouette, but the bell hammers creates vanishing lines.

Flat horizon line, no vanishing points, no size difference in subject. Aerial diffusion helps.

  1. I really really love your last photo. It almost looks like a minimalist drawing on white paper. The aerial diffusion is great for producing the desired effect. I want to know where this guy is going.

  3. Even though your 5th photo is not complex, it’s really compelling. I love all the empty space, basic lines, minimal color, movement and graininess that makes up the picture.

  4. Photo 5 is super interesting. I love that the only colors captured are blue and black -- it creates a very flat space even though it's obviously this vast outdoor space. Very cool.

  5. I really like your last photo. I think you captured flat space well. I love how small the subject appears. I feel like I would see this in a montage sequence, the character is being pushed and feels small. The color saturation really helps create a cold feeling.
